About Us

Local Knowledge. Practical Action. Lasting Change.

Our approach is deliberately simple: begin with the community, build solutions together, deliver them well, and learn openly.

How we work

Four stages in every programme

  1. Step 1

    Listen

We begin with the priorities, knowledge, and experiences of communities.

  2. Step 2

    Co-design

We develop practical solutions with the people who will use and sustain them.

  3. Step 3

    Act

We provide education, tools, partnerships, and implementation support.

  4. Step 4

    Learn and Scale

We evaluate outcomes, share knowledge, and strengthen approaches that demonstrate value.

Principles

Commitments that apply across all of our work

Community leadership

Communities identify their own priorities and lead delivery. We provide technical support, not prescriptions.

Evidence and measurement

We define indicators before we begin, monitor them consistently, and publish only figures we can verify.

Environmental integrity

Interventions must improve ecological outcomes as well as livelihoods, and avoid unintended harm.

Gender and inclusion

Women, young people, and marginalised groups are included in design, delivery, and benefit sharing.

Safeguarding

The safety and dignity of every person we work with takes precedence over programme targets.

Partnership and transparency

We collaborate openly with institutions and partners, and report honestly on progress and limitations.
